Burlington

I saw this place when going out for some work. I realized this was a park so I stopped here to see.

Burlington

There was a beautiful trail by the lake.

Burlington

There were also a few chairs on the shore facing the great lake, which was really careful work. Is this place for fishing?

Burlington

There were telescopes too. But they did not cost money!

I turned around and took another picture. For some unknown reason, the color of the sky was so elegant.

Sudbury

I already planned to go to some parks during the holiday. On this day, I started from Toronto at noon time and planned to reach the hotel in Sudbury to stay there for a night, then go to Killarney Park to find some interesting sceneries.

ONroute

There was snow on the day. I found a rest station as soon as I left the city.

ONroute

These places were all open. Nice.

ONroute

Ah. The snow was heavy.

Petro Canada

Because of the heavy snow and rain, I depleted my windshield washer fluid. I paused at a remote village to change the washer in its gas station. To be honest, things were pricy.

At this location I took some selfies. When I was deploying the tripod my friend said they did not want to because there were strangers nearby. Why would this be embarrasing?

Sudbury

Arrived at the motel in Sudbury! It was already 8 pm when I arrived. The picture was taken from inside the building.

A fastfood nearby closed the main door except the drive through, so we also managed to walk through a drive through.

Sudbury

It was morning! I had to hurry up to go on the way. This day was sunny, and the snow from last night had started to melt which should make it colder. The following were shot on the highway:

I also passed this location last night. When I saw these "pretty big rocks", I wanted to pick up the tablet to take photos before panegyrizing them, but I could not do that well because everything was in darkness at that moment. This day I was lucky to come here again. These vertical "walls" should be formed by excavation when the road was being built. Some rocks had become less angular due to weathering over the years.

There was a one-hour travel on a smaller road between the highway and the town of Killarney.

These images have very limited quality because they were taken when moving on the road. There were lots of elevations and curves which made it somehow challenging and dangerous.

I wanted to check out how the nature here would look like under the snow. Unexpectedly, the more inside I went, the less snow coverage. Later the trees just became green, and my heart was cold.

Killarney

The destination was not the Provincial Park, but this town. I was surprised that people lived here.

A special thing was that I found the names of the roads were written in French from the signs. During the review I found this page which says Northeast Ontario has 20% of the Ontarian Francophones, only behind Ottawa, so it was no longer strange to me. However, Google Map still says English road names.

Killarney

There was a rock pile here which must had some meaning. There were lights on the ground and I think they would illuminate in the night.

Killarney

There was a "big spoon" here (actually a paddle) here. What does it mean?

Killarney

A lodge was located here. I was not sure whether there were anybody living inside during this season.

Killarney

Given the small size, I was not confident that it could accomodate many people.

Killarney

Ice replaced the water. Just from looking I could not determine whether the ice was thick or not (nor even whether the water was deep). I was stepping up and down on the crushed ice on the shore and then someone came from the lodge and yelled: "Guys. Stay away from the water. A person was just drown last night!'

I wondered whether the story was true but did not say.

Killarney

I went to the lighthouse. In the image, the taller one was the signal tower and the shorter one the lighthouse.

With the first glance at the closed gate I was wondering whether the place was open or not, but then I saw lots of footprints bypassing the metal gate which reassured me it should be OK.

Killarney

This two pictures are very interesting to me as they look like they come from a video game.

Killarney

The red-and-white thing on the right was a electric pole... it is a shame that the trees were in green! It would be better if they were in white.

Killarney

One could see Lake Huron from here. The trees still blocked views, sadly.

Killarney

Killarney

Blue sky and white clouds; quite pleasant.

Killarney

This was where I came from.

Killarney

This was another "natural" view.

Killarney

I reached the lighthouse!

Killarney

The rocks were a little difficult to climb but it was doable. The door of the lighthouse was locked. Nobody was inside.

Killarney

An island.

Killarney

There were several solid lines above the horizon. My friend argued that these were mirages based on the argument that they did not touch the water surface. Were they or not?

Killarney

The sign on the back became a paradise for scribbling and vandalism.
